Visit to Lesotho Flow Gauging Stations

Following on from the capacity building course for Lesotho Hydrologists & technicians that was held from 26 to 30 April 2010, in Maseru, a visit was made to selected hydrological gauging stations in Lesotho. The three day field trip was attended by hydrologists from Lesotho, South Africa and Namibia, experts from the Lesotho Highlands Development Authority, WRP Consulting Engineers and the ORASECOM Secretariat. The purpose of the visit was to familiarise the hydrologists and experts from all the four countries with the conditions and get their input on how gauging on some of the stations could be improved.
